Caregivers
Our team encompasses many levels of care to serve the needs of our residents. Each home is staffed at a 3 to 1 ratio by certified caregivers. Our caregivers are thoroughly screened through the State of California and are trained in all areas of residential care including first aid. We require all caregivers to attend continuing education every year and we also require they have regular health screenings. Our caregiver’s salaries are far above the average as this allows for higher trained, more qualified individuals to serve the needs of your family members.
Administrator
In addition to our certified caregivers, each home is monitored daily by a Licensed Administrator. Our administrators are highly trained in Residential Care Facilities operations and undergo many hours of State required education, training, background and medical checks. It is the job of the administrator to work on a one on one basis with our residents to ensure all needs are being met. Furthermore, our Administrators are skilled in
patient care and will assess our resident’s conditions on a daily basis by monitoring food and drug intake, weight
gain/loss and general physical condition.
Activities Director
Our energetic Activities Directors serve a major role in our organization by developing, coordinating and administering an effective and comprehensive activities program to enrich the lives of our residents. Our Activities Director meets with our residents on a weekly basis. This is the time where we explore a more active side of senior living. The program includes a physical fitness plan tailored to each resident as well as special interest classes such as arts and crafts, needlework and cooking. Our Activities Director will also coordinate day trips to local senior centers for our more active residents.
Physical Therapist
Physical Therapists are highly educated licensed specialists who work in conjunction with physicians to design effective treatment plans to restore function and movement patterns to maximize a person's quality of life. Physical Therapists focus on education, correction and prevention using specifically designed therapeutic interventions to treat patients with a wide variety of wellness issues, such as pain relief, balance and coordination training, facilitation and adaptation associated with muscular, skeletal and/or neurological trauma, proper postural alignment, strength training, cardiovascular exercise, stretching/flexibility, ergonomic (body mechanic) training, home and equipments modification, relaxation and stress relieving techniques, correct breathing patterns, and a general promotion of fitness and well-being.
Physical Therapy may not save your life the way open-heart surgery might, but it can transform it. Whether you are trying to manage the symptoms of a long term illness or just want to improve your general health and mobility, physical therapy can help you reach your goals and and maintain your independence. In additional to helping the patient, the Physical Therapist can also instruct caregivers by providing techniques and education to increase the level of care.
Virtually anyone can benefit from physical therapy regardless of age, ability, disease or diagnosis. The Physical Therapist has an integral role in the restoration of function - allowing others to live their lives more fully. Physical Therapy may not be lifesaving, but it is life-changing.
Wellness Coach
What is a wellness coach? First, let us define what a Coach does. A coach is someone who provides supportive assistance, motivation, direction, and training through the step taking process of making changes and achieving a set goal. In the arts, a Coach is someone who trains people in acting or singing. In sports, a Coach trains athletes and players. Wellness Coaches train people in achieving their physical goals in becoming more active and physically fit. A Wellness Coach is a serious motivator who helps you stay on target in achieving your fitness goals.
Wellness Coach bridges the gap between patient and physician with wellness coaching for individuals, families and even employee groups. We use collaborative techniques to identify appropriate and realistic health and well-being goals. Together, we will identify the small steps that will build on your strengths, identify your roadblocks, and explore possibilities for growing skills to ensure success in your decision to become more physically agile and fit.
The core of wellness coaching consists of co-created solutions that ensure clients overcome inertia, trigger their own motivation, harness their self-accountability, and take small, gradual steps that lead them to reaching their own physical wellness visions.
Pharmacist
Our pharmacist is highly trained and has many years working with our senior community. The job of the pharmacist will be to monitor appropriateness of medication therapy based on individual resident needs. The pharmacist will make rounds with the residents and direct caregivers to ascertain whether the best medication treatment is being offered to each individual. Should problems with treatment arise, our pharmacist will try to work with the physician to offer medication expertise to improve the residents health.
